What is thermal detector of thermal imaging

Thermal detector is the core of a thermal imaging camera.

It is the use of infrared radiation and physical interaction of the physical effects of infrared radiation detection of the sensor, in most cases is the use of this interaction presented by the electrical effect. Such detectors can be divided into two types of photon detectors and heat-sensitive detectors.
The thermal detector utilizes the radiant heat effect, which makes the temperature to rise after the detection element received the radiant energy, and then to make the temperature dependent performance of the detector change. Detection of a change in performance, that can detect radiation.
In most cases radiation, it is detected by thermoelectric changes. When the element receives radiation and causing a physical change in the non-electrical quantity, the corresponding change in the charge can be measured by a suitable transformation.Infrared sensors have been playing an important role in the modern production practice. With the improvement of detection equipment and other parts, the infrared sensor can have more performance and better sensitivity.
Nature of all temperatures in absolute zero (-273 ℃) above objects will be issued by infrared radiation, infrared image sensor will detect the infrared radiation into the human eye visible image information.Infrared imaging technology covers infrared optics, materials science, electronics, mechanical engineering technology, integrated circuit technology, image processing algorithms and many other technologies, infrared imaging device is the core of the infrared focal plane detector.
Uncooled infrared detectors use infrared radiation thermal effects, infrared absorption of infrared radiation energy into heat energy, causing the temperature rise of sensitive components. A physical parameter of the sensing element changes with it, and then converts it into an electrical signal or a visible light signal through a designed conversion mechanism to realize the detection of the object.
